Whether you think of yourself as the next famous modern artist or you’ve never picked up a paintbrush or drawing pen before, we have an art class everyone! With various technique choices and mediums, we offer art classes for all skill levels for anyone in the Los Angeles, CA area.

Teen Class

Teen Art Class

  • Teen Art Studio (6th-9th Grade)


    2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/25

    Wednesdays, 4-6pm 

    A relaxed and inspiring studio space just for teens to draw, paint, and explore mixed media while developing their own artistic voice. Students work with a variety of materials and techniques, learning how to observe, experiment, and express ideas through their art.

    Each session includes guided skill-building along with open studio time, allowing teens to grow at their own pace while creating artwork that reflects their personal style. This class is perfect for both beginners and more experienced young artists who want a creative place to belong.

  • 5th-9th Grade

    Wednesdays, 4:00–6:00 PM

    Class Dates:

    2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/25

  • Price: $600 for 8 classes

    • No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations made within 14 days of the start of a class, workshop, or semester.

    • All refunds are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

    • We reserve the right to cancel any class or workshop due to low enrollment. In that case, a full refund will be issued.

    • If a student needs to cancel a class, workshop, or registration, notice must be provided in writing via email to theartsybackyard@gmail.com.

    • Transfers between sessions or classes are not allowed once registration is confirmed.

      Make-Up Policy: One make-up class is allowed per student per semester. The date will be scheduled by the studio toward the end of the semester. There is no make-up for the make-up. Missed classes cannot be refunded or credited toward a future semester, including absences due to trips or vacations.

Canvas & Color: Acrylics for Adults

  • Canvas & Color: Acrylics for Adults

    1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24

    Tuesdays 6-8pm

    A relaxed and supportive painting class for adults who want to explore acrylics, improve their skills, and enjoy creative time in a welcoming studio environment. Each student works from their own reference image with guidance along the way, allowing everyone to paint at their own pace and in their own style.

    We focus on composition, color mixing, layering, and brush techniques while encouraging experimentation and personal expression. This class is perfect for beginners and more experienced painters alike who want to unwind, learn, and create something meaningful each week.

Private 1:1 Classes

Interested in adult art programs but want to do it outside of the group setting or Have an idea for a painting but need some extra support? We offer one-on-one private art classes for adults with one of our Art Instructors.

Pricing: At our studio

  • 1 participant- $300 for 2 hours

  • 2 participants- $450 for 2 hours
